LTL Shipping and Process
Order Processing
-
- Flat-packed orders (in-stock items only) typically ship within 1–2 full business days after full payment is received.
- Note: These are estimates only. High order volume, weather, or unforeseen delays may affect processing and transit times.
Freight & Packaging
-
- All freight orders are securely boxed, palletized, shrink-wrapped, and strapped.
- Transit time with LTL carriers is 3 - 7 business days. Please allow an additional day for residential deliveries or scheduled appointments.
Shipping Charges
-
- Pallet Fees:
- 48” × 45”: $20.00 each
- 96” × 44”: $40.00 each
- Limited Access Fees (non-truck accessible locations): $200+
- Shipping charges include one delivery attempt. Additional delivery or handling costs due to customer-related delays are the customer’s responsibility.
- Refused shipments or undeliverable orders may incur restocking, return shipping, and additional handling fees.
Orders via Sales Representatives
-
- For orders placed through a sales rep, LTL shipping charges are calculated by sales rep and billed separately.
- A confirmation email with shipping costs will be sent for customer approval before processing.
Online Orders
-
- Only RTA (Ready-To-Assemble) items are eligible for shipping via the online store.
- LTL shipping charges are included when selected during checkout.
- Orders exceeding standard LTL dimensions may require Full Truckload (FTL) shipping and may incur additional charges.
- Liftgate and Delivery Appointment Services must be selected at checkout, if needed.
Delivery Guidelines
-
- Delivery sites must be accessible by tractor-trailer. Otherwise, Limited Access fees apply.
- Residential Deliveries: The carrier will contact the customer 24 hours in advance to schedule a 3–4 hour window.
- For residential delivery, drivers will only lower the pallet to the ground. They are not responsible for unpacking or moving the items indoors.
- Address classifications are based on city zoning. A commercial business in a residential zone may still incur residential delivery fees.
- If delivery is delayed by the customer beyond the carrier’s allowed window, storage fees may apply.
- Changes after shipment (e.g., rerouting or updating addresses) may incur additional fees and could delay delivery.
After Shipping
-
- Customers will receive an email with a tracking number once the order has shipped.
- A responsible party must be present to inspect, inventory, and sign for the delivery.
- If the number of pallets delivered doesn't match the bill of lading (POD), this must be noted immediately on the POD and have the driver sign off notated the missing items.
Damage & Claims
-
- Customers must inspect all packaging carefully upon arrival. If any visible or suspected damage is present, it must be noted on the POD, even if you're unsure whether the contents inside are damaged.
- Do not reject damaged items. Instead:
- Take clear photos of the damage.
- Note the damage and quantity on the POD.
- Have the driver sign off on the damage.
- Concealed damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photo documentation to the sales representative. Reports received after this window may not be eligible for claims.
